Spring 2009 Trend: Shoes With “Fringe”

There seems to be a huge trend coming our way for the Spring 2009 shoe season, and that trend is wearing shoes with some “fringe” on them. The trend is labeled Bohemian, but is it really fashionable?

I personally would never wear a shoe with “fringe” on it, as it reminds me of the flapper girl days but some high fashion designers are getting in on the trend. Candela, Christian Louboutin, and Sergio Rossi all have come out with heels/sandals that go hand in hand with the latest trend.

Christian Louboutin’s “Short Tina Fringe Pumps” look like they would of been a fabulous heel without the fringe! I suppose if you are looking for a shoe to go disco dancing in, this could be a great heel! Cost: $1,095

Candela’s “Fieco Sandals” are probably the best choice out of the three, as they are not that tacky, and don’t cause too much attention. Cost: $215

Sergio Rossi’s “Ankle-Strap Sandals” is another case of the Christian Louboutin’s. Without the fringe, the sandal probably would of been fabulous. Cost: $850

If you are loving the new “fringe” shoe trend for Spring 2009, then hop on over to Saks Fifth Avenue for your shoe needs!
