Ever since YSL came out with the “Cage” boots for the Spring 2009 season, other designers seem to be copying the designer brand. Miss Sixty has just released their own version of the coveted boots, called the “Carine” bootie.
They look totally different than the YSL boots, but I’m not sure how effective they are. YSL’s “Cage” boots were so fabulous and unique that I couldn’t help but stare at them every time I saw them in stores. The Miss Sixty “Carine” boots come off more as ugly to me, and I don’t think I would ever purchase them.
I will say this though, stock photo’s can sometimes make a certain fashion item look horrendous but when you see it in person it looks beautiful. That may be the case with these boots, and I will definitely check them out in person to see what my real verdict is!
The Miss Sixty “Carine” Boots can be purchased at Nordstrom for $169.95. I would never pay that much for these boots, but if you love them then I suppose that’s not a bad price for a pair of designer boots.
