Chanel N°5 Perfume

Chanel’s forever classic number 5 perfume has been around for years, outlasted the test of time since the early 20′s.

The perfume designer and creator of the Chanel number 5 perfume was Ernest Beaux. He presented to Coco Chanel two series of numbered samples from 1 to 5 and 20 to 24. She choose the 5th sample and named it N°5. Five was also her lucky number. Rumor has it just before launching her first perfume, she met with a fortune teller, who told Coco that her lucky number was 5. So she named her scent “No. 5″, and released it on the fifth day of the fifth month of the year, May 5.

Right now you can find Chanel N°5 Perfume at Saks Fifth Avenue, prices range from $95 to $260

Described on Saks as a Aldehydic floral. A bouquet of abstract flowers with an indefinable femininity. Launches with bewitching notes of Ylang-Ylang and Neroli, then unfolds with Grasse Jasmine and May Rose. Sandalwood and Vanilla round out the fabled composition with unforgettable woody notes.
