Soo Ihn Kim “Logan Anchor” Earrings

I’m not one to go on a boat or be near the water. I think it’s relaxing but it’s definitely not my style to get drenched and ruin my hair and makeup. I know, sounds kind of snotty but I’ve never been a fan of water. I shower in it, drink it and that’s about it!

However, I strangely love anchors and anything that resembles a sailor especially if it’s old school style. The “Logan Anchor” Earrings are adorable and definitely an accessory I would wear! Let’s face it, Summer is coming and nothing screams the Summer season more than the beach.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Turnlock Necklace

I’ve never been fond of jewelry but I do like pieces that are unique. I’ve always been a woman that couldn’t decide if I liked gold or silver better. I always bought my jewelry in 14K gold but I never hated silver. To me, gold has always been more flashier but silver tends to be more classier. Both colors are nice but it’s still always hard to choose which I like more.

When I saw the Marc by Marc Jacobs “Pretty” Turnlock Necklace, I was instantly intrigued. It was as if it was the best of both worlds! It had a little bit of gold and silver, so if you can’t decide you now had both on a necklace! Pretty awesome if you ask me! I also love how it features a tie closure. We don’t see tie closures very often and they give you the ability to wear a necklace loose or tight!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Towel

I realize that winter is rapidly approaching and that a beach towel should be the furthest thing from my mind, but seeing this towel brought back such wonderful memories that I simply could not resist! Meet the Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Towel! So why do I love this towel? Almost a year ago, I took a trip to Costa Rica to study birds. Not only did I get to see lots of beautiful birds while I was there, I also got to sit on the beach while everyone at home had snow up to their knees. So when I saw Miss Marc wearing her “Save the Birds” t-shirt and her little birdie companions, I couldn’t help but smile. This towel would be perfect for a tropical vacation this winter. Plus the bright yellow color will make it easy to spot on the beach. Believe me, when you’re making your way back up the beach, all those towels look the same!

Find the Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Towel at Zappos, where it can be purchased for only $48!

Also available here at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Felix Rey “Rain Rain Go Away” Clear Bubble Umbrella

I am SO sick of rain. A seemingly endless stream of storms rolling across the central U.S. this last month has led to some pretty impressive (possibly even record-breaking) precipitation totals. Where I live, normal precipitation for the month of June is something like 3 inches total. However, in some places, more than 15 inches of rain has already fallen. Yikes! Oh well, at least this gives me a reason to buy a new umbrella. And one style in particular has caught my eye. It’s the Felix Rey “Rain Rain Go Away” Clear Bubble Umbrella. I absolutely love this umbrella! The clear bubble style is so hot right now and it seems like celebrities are photographed carrying one all the time! But this clear bubble umbrella is different because it has a touch of whimsy as well! Printed on one side, you will find an adorable doodled heart. On the other side, you will find the words “Rain Rain Go Away” (from the nursery rhyme). So cute! And a great way to brighten up a dark and cloudy day. Plus, buying a new umbrella is a surefire way to bring on some sunny weather!

So… Rain, rain, go away… Come again some other day!

The Spring Wedge Trend – Loving Donna Karan

It’s the season of the wedge! From now, the beginning of spring through the end, and I’m talking the very last day of summer, I take full advantage of this trend.

While shopping around for my next Wedge-y purchase I decided to check out Zappos. Why? They are “The Shoe Store” with thousands and thousands of pairs in stock – also not to mention they have amazing customer service and speedy Free shipping. What’s not to love? Anyways so after spending like 20 minutes browsing through the Wedge style section, I came across the 5″ heel w/ 1″ platform Wedges by Donna Karan. My jaw hit the ground! I can’t believe how gorgeous these are. Also I’m thinking long term.. these shoes would look fabulous any day of the year! Especially the classic black pair.

The Donna Karan Wedge sandals vary in price. Don’t ask me why. The black “Storm” pair on the left retails for $654 while the ivory “Muslin Woven Raffia” pair on the right retails for $499.

Burberry Brit Cotton Trench Jacket

Has there ever been a jacket that you find yourself bouncing back and forth between either purchasing or resisting? That’s what I’m currently going through with the new spring Burberry Cotton Jacket. I of course love everything about this jacket – the navy blue color and the overall mini trench style. However, a couple weeks ago when I going through my jacket closet, doing a little spring cleaning, I re-discovered an old Banana Republic jacket that I purchased a couple years back. And it looks identical. Only real noticeable difference, is that the jacket that I purchased from BR is made 50% Lyocell (a soft silk like material that is resistant to wrinkles) and 50% cotton and the Burberry topper is 100% cotton. The only thing I hate about my BR jacket is that the belt always slides off – it’s so annoying! Which is another reason why I’m leaning towards the Burberry Cotton Jacket.

The navy double-breasted cotton jacket features logo-embossed pewter button fastenings at front, hook-fastening tab at collar, a buckle-fastening belt at waist, short lapels, front pockets, a wind flap, buttoned tabs at cuffs, a storm flap, buttoned epaulets and is fully lined. Materials: 100% cotton; main lining: 97% cotton, 2% nylon, 1% elastane; sleeve lining: 100% cotton.

The Burberry Double-Breast Cotton Jacket is available at Nordstroms. Retails for $495

Coach Stefanie Heels

It’s no secret that the latest trend to hit the shoe box is the shade of nude in shoes. Numerous shoe brands and designers have released their own interpretation of the natural look this season and one All-American brand that never falls short of keeping up to date with the latest styles is Coach. This is definitely one of my favorite sandal looks by the leather ware specialists. To start off with, the thick overlapping straps of leather aren’t exactly neutral dyed leather, instead, it’s made up of Vachetta leather. With that in mind, would you say these shoes would look even better with time and wear, or would the natural tanning process on these shoes be quite unflattering? Just do note weather conditions for the day, as you definitely want to avoid any down pour with these on. Coach’s Stefanie heels might be a bit high maintenance for most, but they sure are adorable.

You can find these online for $188 through: Dillard’s

Burberry Twisted multi-strap Sandals

One of the hottest trends right now in the world of our next favorite accessory to the handbag is the nude colored shoe. We’re talking everything nude from wedges, espadrilles, to peep-toed boots, if it’s flesh colored and oh-so natural, we’re giving it a two thumbs up. I’m still in search for that perfect pair of nude toned pumps, and in the process of searching, the House of Burberry impresses me much with their Twisted multi-strap leather sandals. I want these; I just can’t justify spending $650 on a pair of shoes at the moment, as I recently indulged in a Vuitton wallet this past weekend. Back to these sandals, they’re absolutely perfect for many occasions. Pair these up with your casual shorts, dresses, and cargo bottoms for a summery feel, or wear them with your favorite pair of skinny jeans. Twisted straps hug your feet while the zipper back keeps all the attention towards the front of the sandal, with no snaps or buckles to interfere.
