Yves Saint Laurent Arty Cuff

So what if Fall is just around the corner! Nothing makes me smile more than visions of the beach! So, I thought, why not bring the beach to me? I saw this Yves Saint Laurent Large Arty Ovale Cuff today and I thought I might do just that! But this cuff is more “under the sea” than “at the beach”. Check it out! I love the look of coral layered over a textured background. The wavy lines remind me of moving water or ridges in the sand. The piece is accented with a blue glass embellishment that resembles sea glass. The color is so deep and the gold leaf sprinkled throughout is simply gorgeous. The look and feel of this cuff is so raw, yet enchanting at the same time. It’s a magical piece that is sure to compliment just about any look, even as summer continues to fade away.

Yves Saint Laurent Fingerprint Cuff

Are there any CSI fans out there? I’ll admit, I’m not a huge fan but I do watch the show from time to time. When I stumbled across the Yves Saint Laurent Fingerprint Cuff, however, something sort of funny popped into my head. Just imagine a sexy crime scene investigator who has a passion for forensics and fashion! Would she wear a stunning piece of jewelery like this? But you don’t need to be a crime scene investigator to sport this fun and quirky cuff. There’s no question that it would make quite the statement piece. In case you can’t tell from the picture, this baby measures 4.5 inches long! I don’t think anyone would be able to miss it wrapped around your wrist! I love the pretty gold tone coloring and uneven edge. Plus the fingerprint texture is just so rich, it might be difficult to keep people’s hands off of it!

Yves Saint Laurent Palais

Christian Louboutin is my favorite designer brand when it comes to shoes, but Yves Saint Laurent comes in at a close second. Yves Saint Laurent heels kind of remind me of Louboutin’s. The heel, and style are very similar to each other but obviously YSL is more known for their handbags than shoes.

When I came across the Yves Saint Laurent “Palais” I was instantly intrigued. It looked as if feathers were literally coming out of the shoe. Can’t say I’ve ever seen a shoe that resembled a peacock but I must say it was definitely unique.

I’m in love with shoes that look totally different than anything out there, so of course I fell in love with these. I do wish they were black leather, instead of grey suede but I suppose if they were black you would not be able to see the goat hair sticking out of the shoe.

These shoes are kind of funky, and I can see myself sporting them at a special event or at night. Then again it’s one of those heels that are so weird that I love them but can’t see myself wearing them very much. They would be a great addition to a eclectic shoe collection.

You can purchase the Yves Saint Laurent “Palaid” Platform Pump at Nordstrom for $880.

Yves Saint Laurent Vanity Purse – a camera bag?

Am I crazy for saying this, or would this make one fabulous camera bag?! It features a large open compartment which is perfect to store your camera and then there’s the dual side easy access pockets which are perfect for your lenses and such.

And it’s on sale for 20% off over at Bluefly. Available in beige canvas (above)

Also available in very durable pebbled leather in these colors: Burgundy, (yummy) Almond, and Magestic (a light grey)

Yves Saint Laurent Canvas Logo Saftey Pin Tote

At first I thought this was a mistake. And that the person in charge with inputting the designer information, mislabeled this bag as Yves Saint Laurent. It just doesn’t look it to me. Then upon further examination (see “YSL” in the lower right corner) I realized that this bag was in fact by Yves Saint Laurent.

Not many authentic designer handbags can be found retailing for under $200. This is sort of a rare find, especially when were talking about iconic fashion house Yves Saint Laurent.

My thoughts: love it. But a little bit too late don’t you think? The safety pin trend was so last season. Although, I don’t think that’s going to stop this fashionista from considering it.

The classic-shaped cotton canvas design features a safety pin and logo print that adorns the front. Also features double top handles which are the perfect length to carry on arm or over the shoulder. 8″ drop. Make note that the mouth of this bag features no closure and the interior is not lined. Bag measures 14.5″ width x 16.5″ height x 1/4″ depth.

I’m think this would make one fabulous eco tote!

The Yves Saint Laurent Canvas Logo Pin Tote can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue where it retails for just under $200.
