I’m not a fan of bugs or reptiles. In fact, I’m pretty much scared to death of them. A lot of people have a fear of both which is pretty odd because if you think about it, we’re bigger than bugs and reptiles. I know I’m 100 times bigger than those little creatures and yet I’m terrified of them. It makes absolutely no sense to me! I don’t understand how I’m afraid of something so small but yet I can easily stomp on it with my foot and it would be dead in a second. Bugs probably laugh at us or think we’re crazy!

Obsessed: House of Harlow 1960 Haircalf Stud Kye Flats
I’m usually not a fan when fashion designers combine many trends into one creation, but these Haircalf Stud Kye Flats are kindof a big deal. I love the combo of leopard-print haircalf and studs. Edgy chic!
Pair it with True Religion Stella Skinny Jeans and this gorgeous House of Harlow 1960 Pyramid Station Necklace.

I’m a firm believer in the “evil eye” bracelets and I recently just bought two. However, I’m craving to find one as a headpiece. I think it would look really pretty having the crystal eye on our forehead that’s attached to a gorgeous chain that falls perfectly from our heads. As of right now, I can’t find one but I found a headpiece that’s just as pretty! The House of Harlow Coin Headpiece is drop dead gorgeous and I think I need one!

I like being different. If most people are going left, I will go right. I’m the same way when it comes to my fashion sense. I hardly ever follow trends and if I really love a trend I will get into it when everyone else is over it. I’ve always felt life is so short so why would you want to be like everyone else? Live for the moment and being unique. Why be a copy of someone else when you can be something totally different by just being you? That’s my philosophy at least.
If I can wear anything fashion that makes a statement and make people say, “I like that” or “I want that” then I feel like I’ve accomplished my unique task. If everyone else had what I wore then no one would ever say that.
When I saw the House of Harlow “1960 Key” Cocktail Ring I was in awe. First, I love anything vintage or that looks vintage. This ring looks like it was found in an old jewelry box and just surfaced after someone found it. Also, it’s not everyday you see a woman wearing a key on her ring. Most women wear diamonds on their fingers, when do you ever see a key? I love it to pieces and if I would be promised that it wouldn’t turn colors or fade I’d buy it in a heartbeat! It maybe different but it sure is cute too!
You can purchase the House of Harlow “1960 Key” Cocktail Ring at Shop Bop for $48.

Anyone that personally knows me, knows I’m obsessed with lace. Not in a trampy way, but I just think it’s really pretty. I especially love it on clothes and shoes. Even some purses that feature lace are always so gorgeous. To me, lace is always labeled as being sexy but to me it can be quite stylish in a sophisticated way.
When I saw the House of Harlow 1960 “Lilian” Lace Overlay Pumps I was drooling. I currently do not own any shoes that feature lace on them. I’ve always wanted a pair of lace shoes and these are just stunning. I’m the type of person that likes to match from head to toe, so what better to match my lace shirts with than a pair of lace heels! I am a shoe queen after all!
I love these shoes because I would say they are pretty simple looking but the lace just puts them on a whole different level. Definitely gorgeous and worth every penny!
You can purchase the House of Harlow 1960 “Lilian” Lace Overlay Pumps can be purchased at Shop Bop for $198.

If you take a look at the modeling picture just a little bit closer, you’ll see that it’s no odd-looking giant snowflake, but rather a peacock! If you ask me, its design resembles a turkey more than a peacock, or at least that’s how I see it. I’d still call this attractive and a nice vintage looking piece that would spark a conversation with a girlfriend. This antique like features two toned colored spots in a 14-ct gold setting, and is available for $48 via: Shopbop

A little over a year ago (June 2008) marked the debut of Nicole Richie’s boho-chic House of Harlow jewelry line. Named after her little darling, Harlow Winter Kate Madden the collection has everything from rings and cuffs to headpieces.
Side note: Did you know Nicole will be adding a line of accessories, including handbags, belts and 20 styles of shoes? Expected to be included in her Spring 2010 collection. She’s going to partner up with the makers of Modern Vintage shoes and Earnest Sewn jeans.
The latest piece finally available over at ShopBop (pre-order at PinkMascara) is the Crystal Five Strand Headpiece. The price is $170.

Which got me thinking… DIY idea? I found this gold necklace in my jewelry chest, which looks to me like the beads are almost identical.

The price of my necklace was around $100, so it’s not really a deal-breaking DIY project. Although, I’m sure you can find a selection of gold-colored nugget beaded necklaces at any department store or boutique. Possible check out Target or even F21.
