I consider myself an old school kinda gal. I love the etiquette, fashion and mannerisms of our past. Let’s face it, everything was so elegant and sophisticated back then. I’m in love with Frank Sinatra and Audrey Hepburn is one of my idols. The fashion of our time has changed greatly but thankfully there are still some designers out there that give us vintage inspired pieces. Some people despise reproductions but I love them. If I can’t find a certain fashion piece from the 60′s or 70′s that I really want and it was remade, you better believe that I will buy it. There is nothing wrong with fashion that is made to look old, in fact I love when designers do that!

I like vintage-inspired jewelry, but I normally steer clear of cluster rings. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like the look of a big fat cluster staring back at you. They look so… well, messy. After seeing the Erickson Beamon Color Me Crazy Confetti Ring though, I think I might change my mind (just a little bit). It was all those colors that caught my eye! This large fashion ring is composed of pretty Swarovski crystals in about every color imaginable. They are different shapes and sizes. If you look closely, you will even see a concave strip of small round cut crystals nestled in there. With so many things going on, it’s difficult to tell which way is up. But I imagine this was the designer’s intention. After all, it is called a “confetti” ring! And I think it would look wonderful paired with some solid, yet brightly, colored pieces. It would certainly be a cheery look!

I’m obsessed with hair accessories. I feel it’s just as important to decorate your head like it is for your body. Women pay so much attention to what they wear on their bodies, feet and what purse they carry around but not so much about what’s on their head. I suppose if you have fabulous hair it’s best not to put anything in it. For me, my hair is straight and that’s the way it stays 24/7 so I like to spruce it up a little. I’m always seen with hats, headbands, clips etc on my hair pretty much everyday.
The Erickson Beamon “Ballerina” Headband is definitely a piece I would put in my hair. It screams beautiful, elegant and unique. I’ve never seen a piece like this before and it would look gorgeous in dark hair. Don’t get me wrong it would look beautiful in anyone’s hair but it would really stick out in dark hair. Definitely a piece I would wear anytime of the day. It may be pricey but it sure is beautiful!
You can purchase the Erickson Beamon “Ballerina” Headband at Shop Bop for $570.
