I’m obsessed with alice + olivia and I even follow the designer brand on Instagram, which happens to be Stacey Bendet’s personal account. If you don’t know who Stacey Bendet is, she’s the mastermind of alice + olivia and the pictures she posts on Instagram amaze me. It’s like she lives in another world, a colorful world, a world I wish to be apart of one day. Everything is so colorful and unique and interestingly enough she recently posted a picture of the Embellished and Watercolor Dress and stated that it would be out any day. Well I spotted it on Shop Bop already and good gosh do I wish I could buy it. This dress is so gorgeous and looked like it walked right out of Carrie Bradshaw’s closet. It’s a beautiful dress to wear for the upcoming Spring season because of all the lovely light colors. Even the collar is bright, pretty and says Spring all over it. I know I sure would love to walk the streets of Miami in this!

Mint is one of my favorite colors these days and I’m absolutely obsessed with it. In the past three months I’ve purchased a mint iPad case, dress, blazer and nail polish. I can’t get enough of mint and I’m sure I will buy more of anything I can find in the gorgeous color. It’s one of those colors that looks good on anything and everyone. It’s truly breathtaking! With that said, as soon as I saw the alice + olivia Drop Waist “Boat” Neck Dress I instantly fell in love. The dress is super cute and looks absolutely stunning in mint.

I’m an old school kind of girl. I’m obsessed with Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra, I love the fashion from the 40′s and 60′s and even the mannerisms and etiquette back then were impeccable. As the years go by, I feel like the sparkle of the old times is diminishing. With that said, whenever I see fashion with an old school vibe my heart instantly falls in love. An old school fashion piece that I wish we saw more often is suspenders. I currently own one pair of suspenders and sadly I don’t wear them very often. Suspenders are stylish though and I love when men wear them. To see them on the alice + olivia “Dryden” Suspender Dress made me so incredibly happy and made me wish I owned this dress!

My favorite color is pink and if you read my posts I’m sure you know I’m obsessed with fashion. When I think about all the different designer collections I have viewed over the years, one always stands out in my mind. My all time favorite collection since I was in my late teens has been the Louis Vuitton “Cherry Blossom” Collection. It was girly, cute and way too pretty. I was young with no money when the collection came out so I was unable to get a piece of it. I look at eBay monthly to see if someone posts anything from the “Pink – Cherry Blossom” line, that I can purchase. Still no luck, but I’m hopeful that one day I’ll be able to own a piece of the collection.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with dresses. They’re feminine, sexy and can be incredibly stylish. I’m a total girly girl so if I could I would wear a dress everyday. I love dresses that look different from the rest. At the moment, I’m drooling over the alice + olivia “Goddess” Dress. It’s beautiful and it’s not everyday you see a one shoulder dress. At the moment, I don’t own a one shoulder dress but boy would I love for this to be my first! Hey, a girl can dream!

It may have been a flop but I was absolutely obsessed with the Target + Neiman Marcus collection. My favorite piece was the alice + olivia black and white suitcase. As soon as I saw it I fell in love. It was literally love and first sight. I had a photo shoot with InStyle before and I had to fly to New York from Ft. Lauderdale. When I arrived in New York I quickly learned that the airline I was flying with lost my suitcase. I was hysterical and I remember crying at the airport as if someone died. When you go to photo shoots you always want to bring as much as your own stuff as you can in case nothing fits you at the shoot. In this case my designer shoes and makeup were in my black suitcase. It took them time to find it because let’s face it, how many suitcases are black that enter airplanes everyday? Millions.
Ever since this happened to me I vowed to never have a black suitcase again. Since then I’ve had a pink suit case, then I went from a carry on only suitcase and now I have the alice + olivia one that was sold at Target and Nieman Marcus. It’s black and white and almost looks like Beetlejuice with the little bits of neon green featured on the bag. I absolutely love it and I’m sure it will be hard to lose at the airport!

I’m absolutely obsessed with this peplum trend that is going on right now. There’s peplum dresses, jackets, shirts and even skirts. I love it all! I recently bought a peplum shirt and I absolutely love it. It’s extremely girly, feminine but also very stylish. When I saw the alice + olivia Mint Peplum Dress my mouth dropped. Not only does it feature the fabulous peplum trend but it’s available in “mint”. “Mint” is one of my absolute favorite colors at the moment and alice + olivia did an amazing job designing a peplum mint colored dress.

I am absolutely obsessed with this peplum trend. It’s incredibly feminine, girly and oh-so-cute! Lately we’ve been seeing a lot of dresses, shirts and skirts come out in the peplum design and I love it all. I currently do not own anything featuring the fabulous trend but I’m craving to buy a peplum dress. The alice + olivia “Victoria” Peplum Dress is a fine example of what I want my future dress to look like.
Personally, I would wear this dress at anytime of the day. What really sells it for me is the peplum waistline. It looks as if it’s something we would see a young girl wear but then it was brought back to life for us older folks. Peplum dresses are casual enough for the daytime but they are also dressy enough for the evening. You can easily dress this dress down or up, depending on the accessories you choose to wear.
