Pamela Love makes some of the most interesting-looking jewelry pieces I have probably ever seen. According to the designer’s profile, her jewelry is “inspired by art, nature, science, religion, magic, and folk jewelry from around the world”. After pondering over this piece you see pictured here, I think I can see what was meant by that description. Introducing the Pamela Love Zellij Necklace!
Today is Earth Day, so I thought it would be fun to share some eco-friendly finds with all of you. For this second post, I thought it would be interesting to see what a website called WorldOfGood.com (by ebay) had to offer! It is a global marketplace where every purchase has a positive impact. Not only will you find environmentally-friendly products, but socially responsible products as well! Why is this such a big deal? Just looking at it from an Earth Day point of view, social problems are often environmental problems (and vice versa). The two things really do go hand-in-hand! So a product that is socially responsible can be just as important as a product that is environmentally-friendly. Below you will find some of my favorite products from the site! Check them out!

Earth Day is just around the corner, so I thought it would be fun to share some eco-friendly finds with all of you. I would like to start with these cute sneakers that have always been near and dear to my heart! Meet the Satire Hemp Sneakers from a company called Simple! Why do I love these sneakers so much? Could it be because they come from a company that is dedicated to making their products 100% sustainable? These sneakers were made with sustainable and environmentally materials. The exterior is hemp, while the rubber sole is made from recycled car tires. The interior is lined with organic cotton and the laces are made of recycled PET plastic. Heck, even the box (and packaging) is made of 100% post consumer paper pulp! While this all is very wonderful, this isn’t the reason why I love these sneakers so much. Nope, it’s because they are all of this AND adorable at the same time. Do you know how hard it is to find cute, eco-friendly shoes? These cuties bring with them such a huge sigh of relief!
Find the Simple Satire Hemp Sneakers at Zappos, where they are available in a variety of colors!

Pirate Booty? Isn’t that a name of a snack brand? Yessss.

I was surfing around ShopBop today when I discovered this new designer that they’re carrying – “Jen’s Pirate Booty”.
The head of the brand, Jen Rossi, traveled the world gathering bits and pieces of different cultures, weaving them into her very own personal style: part gypsy, part boho, part pirate. The end result is really unique one-of-a-kind pieces!
On ShopBop they have bracelets, earrings, headbands and small accessories. Price range $28 – $98
Clockwise: Zigzag Beaded Wide Cuff ($28), Woven Pouch ($48), Golden Goddess Headband ($38), Golden Waterfall Necklace ($88)

When I was in grade school, I found a pair of suede moccasins in my mom’s closet. They were from my mom’s hippie days and, of course, I thought they were the coolest thing ever. I remember slipping them on my feet. They were big on me, but they felt SO good! I begged her to let me wear them to school the next day and she finally agreed. Boy was I proud wearing those babies… well, until I ruined them by stepping in a rather large rain puddle. Oops! Despite the bad part at the end, this is still one of my fondest childhood memories. So when I stumbled across these Minnetonka Kilty Driving Moccasins, I couldn’t help but smile. But would I dare wear a pair of moccasins now? At first, I thought no way. But then I tried them on and I found myself falling in love! Unlike tradition moccasins, Minnetonka brand moccasins feature cushioned leather insoles and a rubber nub bottom. Now I’m not suggesting that I would wear these while out on the town, but I think they would be super cute footwear for around the house or while running some quick errands.
Find the Minnetonka Kilty Driving Moccasins at Free People, where they can be purchased for only $48!

PETA, which owns stock in fashion retailer Coach, has filed a shareholder resolution suit calling on the company to enact a policy to stop acquiring and selling products that are made with fur.
PETA is hoping that Coach will follow the trail set by other designers and fashion companies – such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garçons, Calvin Klein, Betsey Johnson, Gap, Nike, Cole Haan, Liz Claiborne, Juicy Couture and Kate Spade who have all vowed to be fur-free.
“Animals who are used for their fur are beaten, drowned, electrocuted, and skinned alive, and by continuing to sell fur, Coach bears responsibility for this cruelty,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “With its competitors making the compassionate choice to end fur sales, it’s time for Coach to get off the bench and into the fur-free game.”
What are some of your thoughts?

CC Skye, the L.A. based fashion label is known by many for their amazing, eye-catching, must-have pieces that fuse uptown elegance with downtown edge. But what about their handbags? Amazing as well in my opinion! The CC SKYE Eco Chic Harper Tote is much different than all the other bags presented in this designers collection, but it’s still worth the mentioning and obsessing over.
The base of the Eco Chic Harper is made of a dual tone canvas and the front of this eco-lover tote reads: “Down to Earth” in nature-inspired print.
My favorite accessory on this bag – the fabulous chain braided shoulderstrap – a perfect touch from the jewelry designer. She sure knows how to finish off a bag!
Size wise, do I really need to tell you as I’m sure you can tell from the picture, this bag is generously spacious. 18″ wide x 5 1/2″ deep x 15 1/2″ high. Big enough to hold all your daily necessities – wallet, sunglasses, phone, a bottle of water, a copy of your favorite magazine and more!
Now are you ready for some frugal news – this bag is currently on sale for a steal! Priced at $149 (when the original is $255!). Not surprised there’s only 1 left in stock.
