At the moment, I’m obsessed with skirts and dresses and I can’t get enough of them. If it was up to me I’d probably wear one or the other everyday but then I would be repeating outfits and that’s just not acceptable. When I saw the DKNY Sleeveless Midi Dress I smiled. I know when you have curves it might not be the best idea to wear horizontal stripes but I love this dress. This dress is so adorable and you can easily make it look casual or fancy. I can totally envision a woman wearing it with a pair of flip flops on a hot day but then on the other hand I can see a woman wearing it at night with a pair of heels to give it a fancy look. I would personally wear it with a cute pair of high heels and accessorize it with some flashy jewelry.
It never hurts to have a gown in your closet. Every now and then we had that special event we have to attend and at the last minute we are running around scrambling for a gown. At the moment I have one gown in my closet just in case something springs up that I need to get really fancied up for. However, I would like to purchase another one in a different color just so I have two to choose from.
Summer is almost here so it about time to start buying dresses and coverups! I live in Florida so it feels like I’m walking into a furnace when I walk outside during the Summer. Dresses are a must especially if they are cool or at least light in material. I usually try to complete the look with a pair of wedges buy sometimes it’s even too hot for that! Sometimes I’ll wear flip flops with the right dress but it has to be scorching hot for that to happen.
Spring is a little over a week away and I’m so ready to bring out my colorful wardrobe. Primarily because I live in Florida and it’s been cold this month. Forty degrees may not to be cold to some but when you live in the sunshine state it’s a little ridiculous. I’m ready for heat, warmth and sun! I can’t wait to wear my bright dresses and shorts on a daily basis and say goodbye to sweaters! When I saw the Pencey “Reflected Floral” Triangle Dress I instantly smiled. When I think of Spring pastel colors and flowers come to mind. What better way to bring in the lovely season than with a floral dress? Last month, I was one of the women that got up early to try to get my hands on the Prabal Gurung for Target line. Three of the pieces are decked out in floral patterns and I can’t wait to wear them out!
I’m pretty much obsessed with anything that’s ombre. If I could, I would even have an ombre style haircut but in the acting world that’s just not acceptable. I love the whole concept of ombre colors. To start off at one color and end at another is colorful and, in my opinion, perfect for Spring. This is why I fell in love with the Herve Leger Tropical “Izzie” Dress. Herve Leger never creates anything less than perfect and this dress is absolutely stunning. It has to be the most beautiful dress to wear for the upcoming Spring season and the colors really make the dress breathtaking.
I love falling in love with pieces by designers that I’m not familiar with. I’m a person that loves to continuously educate herself in topics that I love. For me, those topics consist of Acting, Fashion and Art. In Acting, I’m always learning a new method to take on, in Art I’m always discovering new pieces and in Fashion I’m always falling for designs that are by designers that I’ve never heard of. One of those designers is Giambattista Valli and I have to say, when I saw the “Ruffle” Blossom Dress I instantly became a diehard fan. This dress says Spring all over it with the flowers and the ruffle adds a love touch of femininity to the dress. This dress is gorgeous and even thought the price tag is very high, I still love it and wish it was mine!
I’m obsessed with alice + olivia and I even follow the designer brand on Instagram, which happens to be Stacey Bendet’s personal account. If you don’t know who Stacey Bendet is, she’s the mastermind of alice + olivia and the pictures she posts on Instagram amaze me. It’s like she lives in another world, a colorful world, a world I wish to be apart of one day. Everything is so colorful and unique and interestingly enough she recently posted a picture of the Embellished and Watercolor Dress and stated that it would be out any day. Well I spotted it on Shop Bop already and good gosh do I wish I could buy it. This dress is so gorgeous and looked like it walked right out of Carrie Bradshaw’s closet. It’s a beautiful dress to wear for the upcoming Spring season because of all the lovely light colors. Even the collar is bright, pretty and says Spring all over it. I know I sure would love to walk the streets of Miami in this!
If there are two things I love for this upcoming Spring season it’s the color mint and dresses. Now if you put the two together my heart will instantly melt. When I saw the Club Monaco “Lanna” Dress I almost died. This is the most beautiful mint, or if you like to call it aquamarine, colored dress I’ve ever seen. I was just about to treat myself and order it but of course they don’t have my size. Can we say tease?
