Do you know what I hate most about winter? Okay, it’s probably snow. But the thing I hate second most about winter is the fact that I freeze my butt off if I try wearing a skirt. The result is all of my skirts being packed up until the spring thaw! But then I thought maybe I just need warmer tights. Regular tights don’t seem to do anything, the wind just blows right through them. What about these though? They are the Fleece Lined Tights from Plush, a company that is dedicated to bringing us tights and leggings that are both stylish and warm. Fleece lined certainly sounds warm! And after reading some reviews, I think I might be sold! They sound really soft too. I might be begging to wear those skirts just so I can wear these tights! And as an added bonus, these can double as thermals. Simply slip them on underneath your pants on those REALLY cold days!

Wearing a slip is not something I normally do. I know that they were more popular at one time and I remember my mom refusing to wear a dress or a skirt without a slip. She said she felt naked. Me? I think they feel restricting. I love the feeling of a floaty skirt on my bare legs, so why add an extra layer of fabric? But after seeing the Free People Mesh Half Slip, I found myself reconsidering the way I feel. There is just something so alluring about this piece. I love the tulle-like mesh fabric and ruffled edge. It is romantic, feminine, and fun. Nothing like what my mom used to wear! It’s so pretty, in fact, that it is hard to believe it is an undergarment! I think this slip would look great paired with a casual, boho-chic skirt. Simply let the bottom hem peek out for a playful and flirty look!

Summer is in full swing and it’s time to hit the beach! But don’t forget your cover-up! This year is all about cover-ups that are more than just cover-ups. I’m talking pieces that will take you from the beach to the street without skipping a beat. And one of my favorite cover-ups from this trend is the Nightcap Clothing Lace Bell Bottom Pants! The designer uses soft supima cotton laced in crochet to create ’70s beach style that is both casual and chic. What’s even better is that these pants are so easy to wear. Simply slip them on over your bikini for a little stroll down the beach. And when you’re ready to head into town for dinner, pair these pants with a button-down shirt and a waist-defining belt. Best of all, these pants would be perfect for lounging around the house once beach season is over! Not too many cover-ups are capable of doing all that!

I can admit, I went a little overboard with the whole leopard animal print trend last season. You should see my closet. I have at least 11 animal print dresses which I picked up last season, for every occasion, from animal print cotton-jersey day dresses by Just Cavalli and Diane von Furstenberg to a silk chiffon leopard print cocktail dress by Valentino. And just when I thought I was getting sick of this trend, out comes Diane von Furstenberg’s new Love Knot Bikini.
grabbing my debit now..
I have to get it. Ever since I planned my vacation getaway next month I have been on the hunt for a few swimsuits, and this one is just plain fabulous. I love the color combination of the print, plus the little acetate decoration is a cute eye catching touch. Plus, hello it’s DvF! I am such an addict when it comes to her clothing and shoe lines. Now it’s time to add a piece of her swimwear to my collection.
Make note: The triangle bikini and bikini brief bottoms are sold separately. Top retails for $98 and bottoms retail for $92.
The Diane von Furstenberg Love Knot Bikini can be purchased at net-a-porter.
side note: Also available in hot pink at saks fifth avenue

Laced Bell Bottoms? Sounds like something you would sport around in the bedroom, and nowhere else. Well Kova & T has introduced the wear everywhere bell bottoms, made out of black lace! Unless you seek to wear these under a skirt or dress, I don’t recommend you wear them solo, unless you don’t mind sharing with the world what your underwear or your what your (heavens forbid for the sake of the children) commando side looks like.
These exclusive bottoms come with a $165 price tag and be purchased though: Shopbop
