Last month while on a girls weekend retreat one of my friends introduced to me dry shampoo. Of course I’ve heard of it before but never picked up a bottle for myself to try. The product she uses and “swears by” is Batiste Dry Shampoo. I tried it, and I fell in love with it! So much so that as soon as I got home I went straight to Ulta and picked up a couple bottles. But just out of curiosity I also grabbed a couple other brands to try out – Tresemme and Nexxus. With the other brands my hair turned out feeling greasy and weighed down, unlike Batiste where my hair ended up feeling lightweight and refreshed.

Whenever I’m out, it never fails I always have some sort of emergency! The most common one is my hair tie breaks or I didn’t even bring one with me. I’m hair bipolar, I play with my hair all day long. Sometimes I like it up, sometimes I like it down, sometimes I want it in a barrette or sometimes I want it tied up. On the days I want my hair put up in a barrette or hair tie, I usually forget to bring them with me.

I love to travel comfortably. I mean who doesn’t? Soon as I get on an airplane it’s lights out – do not disturb! So for me a cool silk eyemask is a traveling essential!
Pair it with the Michael Kors Saffiano Travel Tote, James Perse Basic Tee, and 7 For All Mankind The Skinny Jeans.

I have always liked Clinique products. Since I am not really big on makeup though, I tend to focus more on their skin care products and moisturizing lotions. Recently, a sales associate convinced me to try the new Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. It was not something I would normally buy, but I thought I would see what it was like. All I can say is “WOW”. What an awesome product!

Do you know what I love about nail polish? I love that it is the only “makeup” item that you can go wild and crazy with and not feel guilty about it! Hot pink, lime green, fire engine red, dark purple… anything goes! Even if you’re not brave enough to do it on your fingers, you can always go funky on your toes. And if you get sick of the color after a day, all you have to do is swipe it off with some polish remover.
Hmm, sounds almost like an accessory to me! How could anything ever top this “ultimate accessory”? How about these designer nail wraps from Nail Rock? Metallic giraffe, metallic gold, stripes… talk about wild and crazy! Oddly though, I sort of like them. Not for every day, of course. But wouldn’t these nail wraps be awesome for a party? They would certainly add an extra touch of glam to your look! I wouldn’t recommend, however, matching your makeup to your nails. Okay for the packaging, but not okay in real life!

Has anyone ever tried Bare Minerals Makeup from Bare Escentuals? When I first tried it over five years ago, I could not believe how natural it looked! I love how the semi-translucent foundation evens out my skin tone without covering up my freckles. Plus it feels so smooth and light weight when you are wearing it, you’ll forget that you have it on! Matching your skin tone is pretty much a no brainer, taking a lot of the frustration out of buying makeup. The company also makes eyeshadow and all-over face/cheek color. However, I have yet to give those products a try. But I suppose there has never been a better time to take them for a test drive! Why? Because Bloomingdales is currently offering a special bonus offer! Receive a free foundation (Original or Matte) from Bare Escentuals with any Bare Escentuals purchase! Wow! Now that is a sweet deal!

I probably don’t have to tell you that LUSH makes the best bath bombs! They all smell good! So good, in fact, that my dog tried to chew one up because she thought it smelled like candy. Luckily I was able to get it back from her before she could take any serious chunks out of it. She liked it so much, it’s too bad she doesn’t like taking baths!
Out of all the LUSH bath bombs available, my favorite has got to be the Sex Bomb! A combination of jasmine, clary sage and ylang ylang fragrances — a scent that is sure to put you “in the mood”. This product is also the perfect pick for someone who has never tried a LUSH bath bomb before. So soak in the milky, pink and purple swirls and take in the sexy fragrance. Then emerge from your bath with skin that is touchably soft!

You would think a makeup empire such as MAC would run out of ideas and colors to add to their name, due to their variety of cosmetics being so great. Even with my favorites that I’ll keep on buying over and over again, I’m always keeping an eye out to see what’s new over at MAC headquarters. Introducing the ‘Give Me Liberty of London’ Collection, a range of bright colors with blooming nature interpreted into it. I absolutely adore these limited edition pieces; this collection itself carries lip, face, nail, eyeshadows and carrying accessories with art décor of birds and flowers throughout. This time around, MAC dropped the classic black casing for this collection and housed their goods in a fresh new look of white plastic casing for this collection.
Pricing is no different as their originals and if you seek to add some serious bold pieces to your MAC collection, check out this Limited Edition collection though: Bloomingdales
