Smythson diary artist collaboration

Smythson, the chic British brand of leather goods, diaries, and fashion accessories is set to introduce a series of limited-edition art diaries in October.

Here’s more via FWD: The launch is timed with London’s Frieze Art Fair and Art Basel Miami Beach. The diaries will feature curated pages–much like the company’s current fashion diary–with content on the annual art events from The Art Newspaper. According to a Smythson spokeswoman, two artists each from Los Angeles and London have been enlisted to design unique covers. A total of about 200 notebooks in two sizes, will be produced, with proceeds tied to each artist’s desired charity.

Oh this is killing me! I wonder who the guest designer could be. The details right now are still top secret, but more info, including the artist’s names, is expected to be revealed in July.

A spokeswoman from Smythson said “It’s not a Richard Prince or Damien Hirst” < *sigh* >
