Hunter: from Wellies to Handbags

From World War I soldiers to royal families to today’s fashionistas, Hunter has provided us with rainy-day footwear for over 150 years. Originally created to combat Scotland’s unpredictable weather and rugged terrain, Hunter is committed to durability and performance. But it looks like this designer has decided to branch out a little bit. Yep, the original Wellies designer is now producing a line of handbags!

These classic, equestrian-style pieces are sure to become just as iconic as their footwear cousins. But don’t worry, they aren’t made of rubber. Instead, these structured pieces are made of sturdy leather that is sure to stand the test of time. My two favorite pieces (seen pictured here) are the Ascot Satchel and Adelaide Field Satchel. Both feature crisp, clean lines and simple buckle details. Plus the Ascot Satchel sort of reminds me of Mulberry! I wasn’t kidding when I said they were classic styles!

Discover Hunter handbags at Bloomingdales! Prices range from $395 to $595.
