Givenchy Micro Nightingale Bag

Do you ever regret selling a handbag that you think at the time you’re completely over with? One bag that I regret parting with a couple years ago was the Givenchy Nightingale. The size was perfect for me and I loved the double strap options (perfect for a city girl). Also the color was so perfect for an everyday spring to summer bag. It was a light creamy beige, which is a few shades lighter than this ‘Linen’ color pictured above. So why did I decide to put it up on eBay? It was a magnet for color-transfer! Walking around town for just 30 minutes and the whole side would be tinted blue from my denims. Such a nightmare. Today if I still had that bag I would probably never wear it with jeans but rather pair it with a summer dress or lighter denims.
This Nightingale Mico Bag pictured above isn’t exactly the same as my previously owned Nightingale. It’s in a petite size, called micro – the measurements are 13″ length x 4″ width x 7.25″ height. And the color is so lovely that I think you could get away with wearing this bag beyond the summer season.
The gorgeous Micro Nightingale by Givenchy can be found online over at Forward by Elyse Walker. The color is Linen and retails for $1555.

Were you able to remove the color transfer from the bag? I admit that I avoid light colored bags for this very reason. It’s heartbreaking to get dye transfer on an expensive handbag. If I have a light bag, I don’t wear it with blue jeans. But that’s hard cuz I mostly wear jeans. Would love to know if you have a method to clean or remove color transfer.
P.S. I have this little micro Nightengale in the bright red! It is so cute!!
Oh pretty! A red version of the micro sounds amazing.
About the color transfer, if a wash cloth and warm water didn’t work then I would use ‘lovin my bags’ – they have a great product.
