Peacocks are a symbol of nobility, glory, incorruptibility, and immortality. In Greek mythology, peacocks were the bird of patron to Hera. She placed “eyes” on the peacock’s feathers, symbolizing all-seeing knowledge. Being the beautiful creatures that they are, it is no wonder that they often make their way into works of art.
