At the moment, I have a severe obsession with dresses. They’re feminine, girly and can be incredibly sexy. A woman can wear a dress day or night and she will always look amazing. I’m currently in love with the Red Valentino Off the Shoulder “Bow” Dress. This is definitely the type of dress you can wear at anytime of the day. It looks casual enough for the day but you can also accessorize it to give it a great evening look.
I absolutely adore CC Skye jewelry! There is just something about its vibe that really appeals to me. Some pieces are extremely hardcore, with super bold studs or hardware, while some pieces are more tranquil. That tranquility is what I zero in on when I look at the CC Skye Lucky Horn Rosary Bracelet. I think it would fit in quite nicely with my wardrobe.
An interesting swimwear trend appears to be brewing. I didn’t really notice it at first, but more and more pieces have been cropping up lately. What is this trend, you ask? Swimwear that resembles fancy underwear. Just take a look at the Mara Hoffman Beaded Bikini!
Not too long ago, I wrote about the Jagger Edge Montana Studded iPhone Cover. I was head-over-heels in love! It made me want an iPhone, just so I could have that particular case. My post went over extremely well over on TBF. It even inspired a fellow TBFer to buy two of the covers for herself. So when I saw the new Jagger Edge How Charming iPhone Cover, I thought maybe I could turn it into a huge hit as well!
When I first spotted the Lanvin Crystal Eagle Applique Tee, I thought the bird on the front was a phoenix. The phoenix is a bird most commonly known for its appearance in Greek mythology. It is that beautiful bird that builds a nest and ignites itself into flames. From the ashes emerges a new phoenix, implying that this creature is immortal. Pretty cool! But sadly, the description for this top says that the bird is an eagle. And upon closer inspection, apparently it is an eagle wearing a crown. This isn’t the first Lanvin piece featuring an eagle motif though. I guess for some reason, this piece just looked a little different. Maybe it is the trailing tail feathers.
If Alexander McQueen is famous for anything, it has to be the skulls. This designer simply would not be complete without them. Recently, Alexander Mcqueen has been doing some experimenting though, particularly with sea creatures. It started with some skulls with mohawks composed of shark teeth. Pretty unusual, but I can handle that. But now it seems sharks are not enough for this designer. Check out the Alexander McQueen Starfish Skull Ring!
The colorblocking trend seems to have gone almost as quickly as it came. Well, at least for handbags that is. But there is a new trend brewing with dresses that is referred to as casual colorblocking. The idea is simple. You take a casual summer dress and colorblock it with muted or neutral tones. No bright colors here! From what I have seen already, this trend certainly looks doable. Plus I think it has a pretty good chance of not looking dated if you choose to carry some of these pieces into next year.
Pamela Love makes some of the most interesting-looking jewelry pieces I have probably ever seen. According to the designer’s profile, her jewelry is “inspired by art, nature, science, religion, magic, and folk jewelry from around the world”.
