Well ladies, as of a few days ago, it is officially Fall! Am I happy about this? Well… not really. I am not particularly fond of the colder months. But you know what I do like? Cold weather hats, scarves, and gloves! They are an fun way to play with your look, especially when you’re limited to just one or two coats for the whole season. You can change your whole look, simply by switching out your cold weather accessories. And since I already love Diane von Furstenberg, you can imagine my excitement when I saw her cold weather accessories on ShopBop.com’s virtual shelves!

What I like about these pieces is that they are cute, yet modern. Who knew you could have chunky knits without looking kiddie? The items I have pictured here are from my favorite group. The Tuto Hat features beret-like styling and four feminine rosettes, while the Colly Scarf features cute pom-pom ends. And the Parcment Fingerless Gloves? I have actually had a thing for fingerless gloves lately and these are long, almost like arm warmers. Fun!

Earlier this month, I found myself horrified when I stumbled across a display of (*gasp*) legwarmers at my local mall. Yes, they are part of a footwear accessories trend that seems to have taken hold for this Fall/Winter season. But are all footwear accessories created equal? I found some very interesting pieces over at ShopBop and I think I’m going to have to say “no, they are not”. Just take a look at these items I have pictured here!

The first is a pair of Suede Spats with Fringe from Haute Hippie. Spats, eh? I must say, they are quite an interesting concept. Basically, you can get the look of tall boots with you favorite pair of pumps. Well, that is assuming you are able to match the color well. I do like the idea though of being able to carry your Spring/Summer shoes over into the colder months.

The other accessory that I have featured here is the LITTER Walk of Shame Shoe Anklets. This is an interesting concept as well and probably one that would be a lot easier to pull off. They are a great way to jazz up a pair of plain leather boots. Plus you can experiment with the tough girl chic look without having to make any serious commitments.

I love natural stone jewelry! There’s just something about that raw look that calls to me. I’m not really sure what it is, perhaps it’s that bohemian feeling it has. And I love LOVE rainbow quartz! It is such a pretty stone and it’s even prettier when in the rough. That’s why I am really digging this Vanessa Mooney Rainbow Quartz Wire Wrap Ring!

I really love the turquoise-ish, purple-ish, iridescent color. It changes, depending on the lighting and the angle in which it is being viewed. I also like how it was set on a wrapped wire band. This gives the ring a nice, handmade feeling. But guess what! This ring actually is handmade… in Los Angeles! It’s not too often you find something that is made in the United States anymore. But this is where Vanessa Mooney, jewelry designer and great-granddaughter of Harry Warner of Warner Bros., decided to set up shop! Neat!

A new trend in blouses and dressy tops has popped up this season! Introducing Retro Neck Ties! The trend draws its inspiration from 1960′s style and it includes both floaty and tailored pieces. What all of these pieces have in common, however, is a skinny tie accentuating the neckline. These pieces are feminine and ladylike, making them perfect for the office. I really like the silhouettes that this trend creates. But don’t mistake these pieces for something your grandmother wore! Many have modern touches that make them feel fresh and up-to-date! One features pinstripes, while the other features a deep v-neckline. Each piece is unique in its own way, yet they both fit into this trend beautifully!
