Yeah, this news is totally true! Over at designer handbag blog, Bag Bliss, they are giving away a free Jenny Yuen Sherlock satchel in fabulicious plum.

Handbag designer Jenny Yuen is a new designer to me, I’m not that familiar with her designs, but when I saw the Sherlock I just had to sign up. I love the vintage look of it.

About Jenny Yuen:
After earning her BFA in painting and sculpture at Boston University’s School for Fine Arts and honed her skills for sewing and patternmaking at Parsons School of Design. She landed positions at Jill Stuart, Twinkle by Wenlan, Michael Kors, Anna Sui, and Craig Robinson. One of her most notable works as a handbag designer was when she worked with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami & Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton and provided some of the inspiration behind his “Eye-Love” and “Cherry Blossom” collections.

After 38 years of couture fashion, on Friday, Bill Blass Couture laid off all of its 70 employees (with zero severance) and closed their doors forever.

Hermes recently opened their first 2,500-square-foot San Diego Boutique this month at Simon Property Group’s Fashion Valley Mall in La Jolla.

The store offers all 14 product categories of Les Metiers Hermès, consisting of leather goods, silk scarves and ties, perfumes, men and women’s ready-to-wear collections, watches, fine jewelry, shoes, equestrian, Art de Vivre and Art de Table. Plus one item exclusive to the San Diego boutique is a bright pink beach towel with zebras – an homage to the famed San Diego Zoo.

Rumor has it via wwd, that christian louboutin is to design pumps in iconic Barbie Pantone 219 Pink, which will make their debut at the special runway show that Mattel Inc. is staging during New York fashion week next February.

“I guess I always had a little ‘girlie side’ who liked Barbie,” Louboutin said. “Barbie needs to wear great shoes because every girl needs to wear great shoes.”
